Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital literacy competency of village government officials and how this competency contributes to improving the quality of public services. Digital literacy is considered a very important skill in this digitalization era, where the use of information and communication technology (ICT) is key to efficient and transparent administration. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach in several villages that have implemented a village information system. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with village government officials, direct observation, and analysis of related documents. The results of the study indicate that village government officials who have good digital literacy competency are able to manage administration more effectively, provide more responsive services, and increase community participation in the village development process. However, this study also found various challenges faced, such as limited ICT infrastructure, lack of adequate training, and resistance to change. Therefore, more intensive efforts are needed to improve the digital literacy competency of village government officials through ongoing training programs, provision of adequate infrastructure, and policy support that encourages innovation and digital transformation. Thus, improving the digital literacy of village government officials is expected to contribute significantly to realizing better and quality public services.
