Abstract

Digital literacy is needed knowledge and required skill in using digital media, communication tools or networks to find, evaluate, use and create information. Digital literacy encompasses the healthy, wise, intelligent, careful, appropriate and law-abiding use of technology, which is needed in everyday communication and interaction. In the digital era, this ability is not only limited to the use of devices such as cellphones and laptops but also includes an understanding of digital security, internet etiquette and the ability to filter information. In the business world, digital literacy plays an important role in optimizing marketing strategies or digital marketing. The 81th batch of Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) which has been conducted by students of UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in Padaan Wetan became an effort to improve the digital literacy of the local community. The activities included socialization and discussions related to digital marketing and digital literacy, as well as door-to-door surveys to evaluate the level of digital literacy. This activity showed a significant improvement in the community's digital literacy skills for accessing social media, cashless payment usage, and digital security awareness.
